For Physicians and Practices

Blue stripes on white

First Aide Healthcare extends your practice into your patients' homes. We dispatch trained EMTs and paramedics to the bedside, connect you by video, and send the documentation back the same day. You direct the care. Your patients stay your patients.

First Aide was founded by the team behind Citywide Ambulance, one of the largest ambulance services in New York City, with 25 years in EMS and community paramedicine.

Where we help

Patients who can't come to you. Homebound, post-discharge, limited mobility, or simply too sick to travel. A full in-home evaluation with vitals, labs, EKG, and rapid testing.

Evenings and weekends. A patient calls at 9pm. Instead of an emergency room, we're at the bedside — and you join by video from wherever you are.

Coverage while you're away. Vacation, conferences, or a full clinic day. Your patients still get seen.

Post-discharge follow-up. Medication reconciliation and a set of eyes in the home during the window when readmissions happen.

How a visit works

  1. You or your patient contacts our call center.

  2. We dispatch a responder to the home at the scheduled time.

  3. The responder takes vitals and sets up the telehealth connection.

  4. You join by video and direct the examination — rapid tests, specimen collection, EKG, focused assessment.

  5. You determine the plan of care and prescribe as needed. If you're unavailable, one of our providers conducts the visit.

  6. A detailed visit summary and all results are sent to you the same day.

What we bring to the home

Vital signs · 12-lead EKG · blood draws and specimen collection · rapid point-of-care testing · blood glucose · medication reconciliation · wound assessment and basic wound care
